Klaviyo’s Latest Updates: How Handmade Sellers Can Maximize These Features for BFCM

Smarter Customer Journeys + More Personalized Integrations to Boost Your Sales

Klaviyo just keeps getting better, and the latest updates are a game-changer, especially with Black Friday and Cyber Monday (BFCM) fast approaching. Whether you're an experienced handmade seller or just dipping your toes into email marketing, Klaviyo’s new integrations will make your life easier while improving customer experiences across the board.

And let’s be honest—while we look forward to the day Klaviyo becomes fully automated, where it can predict exactly when a customer is going to buy and what they’re most likely to purchase, these updates are a major step forward in that direction. Here’s what you need to know to make the most of Klaviyo’s recent updates to take your handmade business to the next level.

1. Smarter Customer Experiences with 350+ Integrations

Klaviyo now offers over 350 integrations, making it easier than ever to personalize every step of your customer journey. These integrations enable you to automate processes, connect with popular platforms like Pinterest and Canva, and boost engagement while saving valuable time.

As a handmade seller, you can seamlessly blend your marketing, design, and customer engagement into a single flow. From automating email sequences to syncing your Canva designs, Klaviyo’s integrations provide the perfect way to streamline your operations and improve your sales.

2. Pinterest Ads: Engage and Retarget with Precision

For handmade sellers, Pinterest is often the go-to platform for attracting new customers. Klaviyo’s integration with Pinterest Ads now allows you to create highly targeted retargeting ads that engage your customers and pull in new, VIP-worthy buyers through lookalike audiences.

Whether you're showcasing your handmade jewelry or eco-friendly skincare, using Klaviyo’s segments to personalize your Pinterest Ads gives you a leg up in a competitive market, driving better Return on Ad Spend (ROAS). The ability to connect customer data from Klaviyo directly into Pinterest ads means more personalized experiences, leading to higher engagement and, ultimately, more conversions.

3. Canva Integration: Make Your Emails Beautiful—Fast!

As handmade sellers, aesthetics are everything. Your brand’s visual appeal is part of what sets you apart from mass-market products. With Klaviyo’s new Canva integration, you no longer have to go through the tedious “export-to-import” process. Now, you can transfer your designs from Canva to Klaviyo with a single click, whichc I wrote about last month over here.

This seamless workflow means you can easily add your beautiful, branded design assets directly to your email campaigns. Whether you're sending out a BFCM promo email or a weekly newsletter, this integration saves you time and ensures your visuals always look polished and professional.

4. Aftership Integration: Reduce Support Tickets with Automated Order Updates

Managing customer expectations is crucial, especially during the holiday season. Klaviyo’s Aftership integration allows you to automate email and SMS updates for every stage of an order—from shipping confirmation to delivery updates. This not only keeps your customers in the loop but also reduces the number of support tickets and inquiries you’ll receive about shipping delays.

For handmade sellers who often have smaller teams (or are solo entrepreneurs), this integration is a lifesaver. It frees up time, provides a better customer experience, and boosts confidence by keeping your customers informed every step of the way.

5. Rebuy Integration: Personalized Product Recommendations That Boost Sales

Do you have multiple handmade product lines or frequently release limited-edition collections? The Rebuy integration makes it easy to provide personalized product recommendations to your customers, increasing their lifetime value. Using your Klaviyo segment data, you can surface personalized recommendations on your website, showing customers exactly what they’re interested in while they're browsing.

For example, if you sell handmade soaps, candles, and lotions, Rebuy can recommend complementary products based on customer purchase history and preferences. This type of personalization leads to more upsells and cross-sells, boosting both customer satisfaction and your bottom line.

Why These Updates Matter for Handmade Sellers

As handmade sellers, we often wear many hats—creator, marketer, customer service, and more. The latest Klaviyo integrations help simplify several of these tasks, freeing you up to focus on creating beautiful, high-quality products. By automating key processes like email marketing, shipping updates, and personalized product recommendations, you can build deeper connections with your customers while increasing revenue.

My Experience with Klaviyo

I've been using Klaviyo since 2012, prior to that I think I tried every email platform out there. You name it: Mailchimp, Constant Contact. Omnisend, ConvertKit (now Kit), AWeber, Kingsumo (to name a few!) and while they all were lacking something, I pushed on until I found Klaviyo; and I'm so happy I took a chance because it just keeps getting better and better. These new integrations have been incredibly helpful, especially as we gear up for the holiday rush. The Pinterest integration alone has made a noticeable difference in reaching new audiences, and the Canva feature has saved hours of design work. While the platform isn’t cheap, the ROI is clear—especially when you start to scale your marketing efforts.
